ArchOverflow in Microsoft Copilot
Ask Copilot about your ArchOverflow projects — what's coming up on a schedule, who's staffed on what, what an article in the library says — from Teams or Microsoft 365 Copilot. Your firm adds ArchOverflow once, as a tool on a Copilot Studio agent; then each person connects with their own ArchOverflow account.
Who does what
Adds ArchOverflow as a tool on an agent in Copilot Studio and publishes the agent to your people. Custom connections usually need their approval, and your company's Microsoft 365 data policies apply to it.
Opens the agent, signs in to ArchOverflow when asked, and presses Allow. Copilot then sees only what that person can see in ArchOverflow — never anyone else's work.

Each person needs a free ArchOverflow account. Projects and schedules need the tools on that account.
Setup in Copilot Studio (IT / maker)
- In Copilot Studio, open the agent your people will use (or create one, e.g. "ArchOverflow").
- Go to Tools → Add a tool → New tool and choose Model Context Protocol.
- Name it "ArchOverflow" and paste the address above as the Server URL.
- For authentication pick OAuth 2.0 → Dynamic discovery. There's no client ID or secret to type: Copilot registers itself with ArchOverflow and receives its own credentials.
- Create the tool, add it to the agent, and test it once in the Studio's test chat — an ArchOverflow sign-in window opens; sign in and press Allow.
- Publish the agent to Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot for the people who should have it.
For each person
- Open the agent in Teams or Microsoft 365 Copilot and ask something — "what's due on the Library Addition schedule in the next two weeks?"
- The first time, Copilot asks you to connect: sign in to ArchOverflow and press Allow. On the approval screen you choose whether it may only read, or also make changes.
- That's it. Disconnect any time from Account → Connected AI apps.
What it can do
Read
Search the library and summarize articles; read your projects and schemes — schedules, staffing plans, programs, sheet lists — and compare versions and snapshots.
Change, only if you allowed it
Edit schedules, turn a sheet list into a Cartoon Set, or propose deck changes that wait for you to accept. Every change is saved as a new version you can roll back. It can't share, invite people, or delete anything.
Your firm's data
- Nothing connects until a person presses Allow, and each connection is that person's own.
- When someone asks a question, what Copilot reads from their ArchOverflow account goes to Microsoft under your firm's Microsoft 365 terms — the same as anything else your people bring into Copilot.
- We never use your work to train AI, and we don't send your content to any AI provider ourselves.
- Work that can't leave the office stays out of reach. A schedule kept Local only or in a file on someone's computer never reaches ArchOverflow, so Copilot can't see it through this connection.
- The details are in the Privacy Policy ("Connected AI apps").
If something doesn't match
Copilot Studio's menus move around. If a step reads differently on your screen, or the sign-in fails, tell us (the Idea / Bug buttons at the bottom of any ArchOverflow tool) and we'll work it out with you — and fix this page.
